My Favorite Yoga Pose

Hello everyone! Today I wanted to talk about my favorite mind-clearing activity yet again: yoga. I thought this was especially fitting today because for most high school students, AP exams and final exams are starting to approach. While you may be tempted to study all day and skip over this post, I recommend you take a break for a few minutes to read this. It may help you!
Again, you may not think you have time to do yoga because of all of the studying or work some of you need to do right now, but all I am going to ask of you is to do ONE yoga pose. Just one. And it is quite simple too. It is called Tadasana, or as most people call it, mountain pose. Mountain pose only requires you to stand up straight with your hands by your side. While you do this, you may choose to close or open your eyes, to take deep breaths, or do anything else that you find relaxing. What this does is it grounds you, and brings you a sense of "level-headedness" and, on a physical level, forces you to stand up and stretch your legs. It is a common habit of many these days to go all day sitting at a desk without taking the time to just breathe. This pose allows you to defy this norm for a brief moment, which will in turn make you feel better physically and mentally.
To those of you who are getting ready for your tests and/or big projects at work, you've got this! And remember to give yourself a break :)
